路透上海2月28日 - 消息人士称，在央行的要求下，中国的银行业者正在下调美元存款利率。这可能是为了抑制囤积美元的行为，同时支撑疲软的人民币。
由于美元收益率较高和人民币汇率下滑，中国大陆的零售投资者和出口商积累了近万亿美元的存款。
两位直接了解此事的银行业消息人士称，过去几周，中国各地的大小银行都接到了中国人民银行的通知，要求它们下调美元存款利率。
消息人士说，这一指示似乎旨在阻止美元存款的进一步上升，刺激人们更多地将美元兑换成人民币 CNY=CFXS 。(完)
