Scentre's Earnings View Misses, But Reasons to Be Optimistic -- Market Talk

Dow Jones

0001 GMT - Scentre's shares drift 2.3% lower after its earnings guidance for this year misses consensus expectations. Scentre forecast annual funds from operations of 22.75 Australian cents/security, which represents 4.3% growth on the 21.82 cents achieved in 2024. Citi analyst Howard Penny says the market had been looking for 23.1 cents/security in 2025. "We do, however, see potential upside from further opportunistic buybacks of subordinated notes and continued momentum in retail real estate leasing," says Citi, which has a buy call on the stock.
