GEPIC Energy Development (SHE:000791) will invest 345.1 million yuan to construct the Yongchang River Qingtan photovoltaic power generator, the company said in a Wednesday filing with the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
The power generator will have a capacity of 100 megawatts and will be built within 12 months.
The project is expected to generate a 7.84% internal rate of return to the Chinese power company, the filing said.
The company's shares rose 1% in recent trade.
