Transmit Entertainment (HKG:1326) shrank its attributable loss for the six months ended Dec. 31, 2024, to HK$9.2 million from HK$23.7 million in the year-ago period, a Tuesday filing with the Hong Kong bourse said.
Basic loss per share from continuing and discontinued operations stood at HK$0.0035, down from HK$0.0091 in the corresponding period of the last fiscal year.
The entertainment company saw its revenue for the half year from continuing operations fall by 22% to HK$30.9 million from HK$39.5 million a year prior.
The rise in revenue was driven mainly by a higher revenue from the pan entertainment and TV series and variety show production and distribution segments.
The firm attributed the lower anticipated loss mainly to the absence of an impairment loss on intangible assets during the six months, compared with a HK$12.1 million impairment loss a year prior.
