消息面上，2月25日，理想汽车公布旗下首款纯电SUV i8的外观造型信息。据悉，i系列是理想汽车全新的纯电SUV系列，与L系列、MEGA并列，3个产品系列共同构成完整的车型矩阵。此前2月19日，理想汽车宣布旗下人工智能助手理想同学App全面接入DeepSeek R1&V3 671B满血版，并实现与理想自研MindGPT大模型的双向自由切换。
平安证券表示，首款纯电SUV i8 的上市时机相比MEGA 更成熟，此外理想汽车2025年增程基本盘稳固，在增程扩容趋势下有望充分受益。里昂研报指出，早前曝光图片与官方图片存在差异，尤其车型后面，非常符合主流美学偏好，故料i系列销售前景更具可见性。
