Everest Industries Arm to Set Up Net Unit in Assam, India with INR1.38 Billion Investment

Everest Buildpro, a wholly-owned subsidiary of building materials manufacturer Everest Industries (NSE:EVERESTIND, BOM:508906), plans to set up a new fiber cement boards manufacturing plant at Goalpara in Assam, India with a proposed investment of 1.38 billion Indian rupees.

The new unit is proposed to have a capacity of 72,000 MTPA in addition to its existing consolidated capacity of 301,000 MTPA, according to a Tuesday filing to the Indian bourses.

The first phase of the capital expenditure is expected to be operational by April 2027, while the second phase will be operational by April 2031.
