Magnetic Resources (ASX:MAU) said that metallurgical testing of samples from Lady Julie North 4 deposit in Western Australia showed higher gold recoveries with the addition of flotation and fine grinding in the process circuit, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
Average gold recovery across all oxidation states in seven composites after flotation and fine grinding came in at 93%, compared to 88% for conventional gravity and cyanide leach processes.
Fine grinding to 20 microns rather than 10 microns has no meaningful impact on overall gold recovery, the filing said.
