Tencent Holdings' (HKG:0700) artificial intelligence assistant, Yuanbao, outpaced its competitors from ByteDance and MoonShot AI after the Chinese tech giant launched the paid advertising for the platform on nearly all its products, Yicai Global reported Tuesday, citing data from digital content marketing platform DataEye.
Tencent's number of ads soared 345% to 55,000 from Feb. 18 to Feb. 26, compared to six days prior, the report said.
The Yuanbao ads are related to its merger with DeepSeek-R1, the large language model of Deepseek, the report said.
