Rocket Lab USA (RKLB) shares were down over 9% in recent Tuesday trading after a short-seller report alleged that the company "misled investors" about the likelihood that its Neutron rocket will launch in mid-2025.

A report from Bleecker Street Research said that "rocket experts" estimated the time of launch for Rocket Lab's medium-lift rocket Neutron from mid-2026 to mid-2027, in contrast with the company's outlook of a launch this year.

The report said that many aspects of the project were behind timelines, citing documents and 23 interviews with industry experts.

Rocket Lab did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
