WiseTech Global (ASX:WTC) has appointed Richard White as executive chairman to the board, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
White will oversee the succession planning, including internal and external search for a permanent chief executive officer in collaboration with the nomination committee, the filing added.
The board change comes after four directors, including the company's chairman, resigned earlier this week due to "intractable differences around the ongoing role of Richard White."
The logistics technology firm is not able to currently comply with the Australian bourse requirement for its audit and risk committee due to the recent resignations. It plans to appoint independent directors to satisfy the condition.
Under the new role, White will lead the company's product development and growth strategy and his pay is yet to be agreed but is not expected to exceed his pre-October 2024 CEO salary., the filing said.
Company shares were up 3% in recent trade.
