路透圣地亚哥2月25日 - 智利周二发生大面积停电，不光首都圣地亚哥陷入一片黑暗，该国北部主要铜矿也断电，连累全球金属市场受到冲击。
智力内政部长Carolina Toha说，大面积停电是由该国北部输电线路故障造成的，并排除了遭遇网络攻击的可能性。
据路透目击者称，在智利这场多年来最大规模的停电中，圣地亚哥的路灯熄灭，应急车辆的警报声响彻全城。运送数百万乘客的地铁停运，乘客从停滞的列车上疏散。
内政部表示正在全国各地部署武装部队，帮助维持秩序。
智利的国家电力协调机构负责人Ernesto Huber说，恢复全国电力供应仍没有时间表，但北部和南部地区已开始恢复供电。
从矿业密集的北部地区到该国人口集中的中部和南部地区都受到了停电冲击，主要铜矿运营也受到影响。智利是全球最大的铜生产国。
一位消息人士告诉路透，全球最大铜矿埃斯孔迪达(Escondida)停电；智利国营铜业公司(Codelco)也表示，旗下所有铜矿都受到影响。
Codelco说，Chuquicamata、Andina、Salvador和El Teniente等铜矿已经停电，其他铜矿正在使用备用发电机维持部分运转。
安托法加斯塔矿业(Antofagasta Minerals)ANTO.L和英美资源集团AAL.L均表示，他们的矿场正在使用发电机维持运转。(完)
