Appen (ASX:APX) reported Wednesday that its 2024 statutory loss per diluted share narrowed to $0.0874 from $0.831 a year earlier.
Analysts polled by Visible Alpha were expecting a loss of $0.114.
The underlying loss was $0.0461 per diluted share, compared with a loss of $0.3717 a year earlier.
Revenue for the year ended Dec. 31, 2024, was $234.3 million, down from $273 million in the same period a year earlier. Analysts surveyed by Visible Alpha expected $226.3 million.
The board did not declare a dividend for the reported period.
Shares fell nearly 24% in morning trade Wednesday.
