China granted Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical (HKG:2196, SHA:600196) subsidiary Suzhou Erye Pharmaceutical marketing approval for its compound sodium picosulfate granules for colon cleansing.
The drug contains sodium picosulfate, magnesium oxide, and anhydrous citric acid, and is used to clean the colon for colonoscopy or X-rays, and for preparation for colon surgery, according to a Wednesday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange.
