Feb 28 - (The Insurer) - Lloyd’s oldest broker Tysers has appointed senior marine market leader Amos Brattle as head of cargo.
Brattle has more than 35 years of marine insurance experience, 33 of which have been spent at Tysers.
Announcing the appointment in a post on LinkedIn on Thursday, Tysers said Brattle was a “dedicated” cargo broker, specialising in developing innovative and cost-effective cover for challenging and evolving cargo and stock throughput risks across international markets.
“A senior leader in the marine division, Amos brings a wealth of industry skills and experience to his role with a focus on client-first service. Working closely with his team, Amos will drive further growth and expansion of Tysers’ cargo business,” the broker said.
Sydney-headquartered AUB acquired Tysers in May 2022 for around 500 million pounds ($558 million). Lloyd’s oldest broker has undergone a significant restructure under AUB's ownership, including the September 2024 appointment of Tom Wilson as CEO.
More recently the broker named Babita Rai as CEO for Tysers Singapore and William Furness-Smith as head of marine for Asia Pacific.
Following the Tysers acquisition, AUB acquired a number of UK broking entities, as well as an 80% stake in UK broking business Movo Group and a 40% equity stake in authorised representative network Momentum Broker Solutions.
