Jardine Cycle & Carriage's (SGX:C07) profit attributable to shareholders declined 18% during the second half of 2024 to $462.5 million from SG$567.1 million a year earlier, according to a filing with the Singapore Exchange on Thursday.
Earnings per share slid to $1.17 compared with $1.43 in the comparable period.
Analysts polled by Visible Alpha had projected earnings per share of SG$1.27 for the period.
Revenue was up 9% year over year to $11.6 billion from $10.6 billion, as net income from financial services increased by 6%. Analysts polled by Visible Alpha estimated a revenue of SG$11.2 billion during the period.
The company proposed a final dividend of $0.84 per share, taking the total dividend to $1.12 for the year ended Dec. 31, 2024.
