South Korean telecommunications giant SK Telecom (KRX:017670) partnered with US-based quantum computing firm IonQ to drive AI-quantum innovation.
The memorandum of understanding will integrate IonQ's trapped ion quantum computing with SK Telecom's AI capabilities, including personal AI agent services, AI data centers, and GPU-as-a-service, SK Telecom said Thursday.
SK Telecom and SK Square (KRX:402340) will also exchange shares in ID Quantique (IDQ) for IonQ shares, boosting collaboration while maintaining IDQ ties for quantum cryptography advancements, the release said.
