The US Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has dropped a lawsuit against Capital One Financial (COF), multiple media outlets reported Thursday.
The agency in January had accused the bank holding company of cheating millions of consumers over $2 billion in interest payments on savings accounts.
In legal filings, the agency issued a notice of voluntary dismissal for the lawsuit, according to multiple reports.
