BUZZ-Chips, AI-linked shares lose steam with Nvidia turning lower

** Shares of chipmakers and AI-linked stocks turned lower in early trading as markets assess bellwether Nvidia's NVDA.O upbeat quarterly forecasts, which pointed to booming demand but also signaled a hit from a complex roll-out of its latest processor

** Nvidia drops 3.3% in choppy trading

** AI server maker Dell DELL.N down 3%; Super Micro Computer SMCI.O, which had rallied over 12% on Wednesday, down 11.6%

** Vertiv Holdings VRT.N, which designs and builds data center infrastructure, falls 3.6%

** Power companies, which are expected to see a surge in demand from energy-intensive data centers needed to develop AI technology, turn lower, with Constellation Energy CEG.O falling 3.5%

** Vistra VST.N now down 4.7%; VST reports a fourth-quarter profit vs. year-ago loss on Thursday

** Nuclear startup Oklo OKLO.N slides 2.8%

** Chipmakers Broadcom AVGO.O, AMD AMD.O and Micron Technology MU.O down between 1.5% and 3.5%; Philadelphia SE Semiconductor Index .SOX off 2.1%

** Megacap tech names turn lower; Alphabet GOOGL.O falls 1.7%, Amazon.com AMZN.O down 0.3% and Meta Platforms META.O loses almost 1%

** Data analytics firm Palantir Technologies PLTR.O - a retail favorite to trade AI - now down 0.7%
