** Aluminum producer Alcoa AA.N with operations in Canada said that U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to impose a tariff on aluminum imports from Canada, Mexico and other countries could cost about 100,000 U.S. jobs and would itself not be enough to entice it to boost production in the country.
** Allied Gold AAUC.TO will sell half its stake in its Mali mining operations to United Arab Emirates-based Ambrosia Investment Holding for $145 million in cash and $230 million over six years, the Canadian company said.
