高盛集团晋升总裁John Waldron为该银行董事会成员，如此提拔一位非首席执行官的高管十分罕见。

　　与Waldron一起加入高盛董事会的还有Accenture Plc前首席财务官KC McClure，目前担任该顾问公司的高级财务顾问。高盛周三在声明中表示，McClure将成为该银行董事会的独立董事。

　　高盛首席执行官David Solomon在声明中表示，Waldron担任董事新职后，将就如何推动公司整体执行重点，为股东创造和维持长期价值提供重要见解。

　　非首席执行官的银行家少有能够加入高盛董事会。Gary Cohn就是一个例子，他担任总裁兼营运长直至2016年。他后来离开高盛，加入特朗普总统的第一届政府。
