CapitaLand Investment Returns to Attributable Profit in H2 2024; Shares Up 3%

CapitaLand Investment (SGX:9CI) reported an attributable profit to owners of SG$148 million during the second half of 2024 against an attributable loss of SG$170 million a year earlier, according to a filing with the Singapore Exchange on Thursday.

Earnings per share came in at SG$0.029 compared with a loss per share of SG$0.033 in the comparable period. Analysts polled by Visible Alpha projected earnings per share of SG$0.06.

Revenue rose 1% year over year to SG$1.45 billion from SG$1.44 billion, mainly due to increase in acquisition fee income. Analysts polled by Visible Alpha projected revenue of SG$1.34 billion.

The board proposed a core dividend of SG$0.12 per share and a special dividend of around SG$0.06 per share, taking the total dividend to SG$0.18 per share for the year.

Shares of the company were up over 3% in recent trading.
