路透2月27日 - 据上月离职的一位美国商务部高级官员Matthew Axelrod称，未来几个月美国商务部可能因违规行为对一些大公司处以巨额罚款，他们的违规行为包括非法向中国客户输送技术。
Matthew Axelrod在拜登政府时期担任商务部负责出口执法的助理部长，他推动对违反对中国、俄罗斯和伊朗出口管制的公司实施更严厉的处罚。
Axelrod表示：“我们原本希望一些重大调查能在2024年解决，但现在看来要到2025年了。”他预计特朗普政府将大力实施出口管制。
Axelrod不愿透露受调查公司的身份。但有一项公开调查涉及芯片设备制造商应用材料公司AMAT.O。据路透2023年报道，商务部和司法部正在调查该公司，因其可能规避了对中国最大芯片制造商中芯国际的出口限制。nL6S3CH0JWnL6S3FC0LV
另一项调查涉及加州芯片设计软件公司Cadence Design Systems。根据其披露的信息，2021年，Cadence收到了商务部的行政传票，要求其提供与中国某些客户有关的记录。2023年，司法部又发出了另一张传票。
在2月21日一份的文件中，该公司表示其已于12月开始与商务部和司法部就“调查的初步结果和可能的解决方案”进行讨论。
商务部和司法部没有立即回应置评请求。应用材料公司和Cadence公司也没有立即做出回应。(完)
