Feb 26 (Reuters) - The United States government has made a "damaging and inexplicable" decision concerning Chevron's license to operate in the South American country, Venezuela Vice President Delcy Rodriguez said in a statement on Wednesday.

U.S. President Donald Trump said he was reversing oil concessions given to Venezuela by his predecessor Joe Biden more than two years ago, accusing President Nicolas Maduro of not making progress on electoral reforms and migrant returns.

Trump did not name Chevron in his comments.
