On the Beach Group's board is confident it will deliver on a key metric this year as it expects this summer's activity to surpass last year's based on current positive booking trends.

The U.K. online holiday retailer expects its adjusted pretax profit for fiscal 2025 ending in September to be in line with market expectations of 38.2 million pounds ($48.2 million), it said Tuesday.

The London-listed group said the total transaction value, or TTV, of holidays sold between Oct. 1 and Feb. 23--before cancellations and amendments--was 10% ahead of the prior-year period.

Winter 2024's TTV was 18% ahead of the previous year's and early bookings for this summer are strong, with TTV of holidays scheduled from March to June up 17% on year, it added.

"Customer demand for holidays, from On the Beach in particular, continues to buck wider U.K. consumer trends," it said.
