Canadian Pacific Kansas City has finalized a new four-year collective agreement with roughly 1,200 mechanical workers in Canada, the second labor deal secured by the freight-rail operator this year.

Unifor, Canada's largest private sector union, said Monday members of Local 101R voted to ratify a tentative agreement reached with Canadian Pacific just days before a strike deadline.

The deal covers mechanics, labourers, diesel service attendants and mechanical support workers

Teamsters Canada Rail Conference's maintenance of way employees division, which represents about 2,300 engineering services employees at Canadian Pacific in Canada, ratified a fresh four-year collective agreement earlier this month.
