据三位消息人士透露，日产汽车计划于3月12日公布管理层精简计划，据悉，现任CEO内田诚（Makoto Uchida）有望将继续留任。在日产与本田合并组建600亿美元汽车巨头的谈判失败后，日产正陷入困境。
消息人士称，此次调整是日产本月承诺推进的振兴计划的一部分，旨在应对连续两个季度业绩不佳引发的经营危机。
日产此前公布的加速振兴方案包括关闭三家工厂以及精简管理层，公司已第三次下调本财年业绩预期。
消息人士称，董事会将持续评估管理层执行振兴计划的能力。
