Macquarie Group (ASX:MQG) said Macquarie Asset Management will acquire from Galehead Founders the remaining controlling interests in Galehead via funds managed by the company, according to a Wednesday statement.

The deal will make Galehead a unit of Treaty Oak, A US independent power producer, owned by Macquarie Asset Management's managed funds, the filing added.

The integration of Treaty Oak and Galehead merges Galehead's solar, wind, and storage development assets with Treaty Oak's solar and energy storage platform, the filing added.

Within the next 12 months, Treaty Oak plans to begin construction on two additional solar projects, previously acquired from Galehead, with a combined capacity of 385 megawatts alternating current.
