PJM Interconnection Selects Dominion Energy, American Electric Power and FirstEnergy for Joint Venture

Regional grid operator PJM Interconnection selected Dominion Energy, American Electric Power and FirstEnergy to develop several electric transmission projects through a joint venture.

PJM's board awarded the joint venture to Dominion, American through its Transource Energy affiliate and FirstEnergy Transmission after the companies jointly proposed the projects in September. They will develop the projects through the recently-formed Valley Link Transmission Company joint venture.

The projects are in the early stages of development and don't have a firm timeframe yet for permitting, regulatory approvals and construction.
