Yangzijiang Shipbuilding's Attributable Profit Soars 51% in H2 2024; Shares Slide 15%

Yangzijiang Shipbuilding's (SGX:BS6) attributable profit to equity holders jumped 51% in the second half of 2024 to 3.58 billion yuan from 2.38 billion yuan a year earlier, according to a filing with the Singapore Exchange on Wednesday.

Earnings per share rose to 0.905 yuan compared with 0.6013 yuan in the comparable period.

Revenue was up 5% year over year to 13.49 billion yuan from 12.79 billion yuan, due to higher turnover from shipbuilding segment.

Shares of the shipbuilding and repair company slid nearly 15% in recent trading.
