DFI Retail Group Appoints Ella Chan As Group Chief Strategy Officer; Wee Lee Loh Expands Role To Oversee Yuu Rewards

The group makes two new leadership appointments to "foster growth in an evolving retail landscape".

DFI Retail Group makes two new leadership appointments — Ella Chan will report as Group Chief Strategy Officer, and current Group Chief Digital Officer Wee Lee Loh will expand his responsibilities to serve as yuu Rewards officer. 

Chan has over two decades of leadership experience in global strategy, transformation, and innovation within the retail and consumer sectors. In her new role effective April 1, she will oversee corporate strategy, mergers & acquisitions, investor relations, and customer insights.

Chan has a background in “impactful roles” at Walmart across the US, China and Hong Kong, where she drove significant business growth and operational excellence, says DFI Retail in its release.

Meanwhile, Loh, who joined as DFI’s Group Chief Digital Officer in Sept 2023, will add on yuu Rewards to his portfolio. At yuu, he will oversee yuu Rewards, Retail Analytics, and Retail Media. 

Shares in DFI Retail closed flat at US$4.37 on Feb 25.
