BUZZ-HSBC HK shares hit 14-year peak after plan to issue perpetual securities

** Hong Kong shares of HSBC Holdings 0005.HK rise 2.5% to HK$89.3, their highest since February 2011, and on course for a second session of gains

** Stock on track for the biggest one-day rise since October 29, 2024; second-biggest gainer in Hang Seng Finance Index .HSNF, which climbs 1.8%

** London-listed shares .HSBA.L rose 2.5% on Tuesday

** HSBC said on Tuesday it plans to issue an aggregate principal amount of $1.50 billion in perpetual subordinated convertible securities, carrying an interest rate on of 6.950% per annum

** Hang Seng Index .HSI adds 1.5%

** Hong Kong-listed stock up 17.5% YTD, London shares up 14.5%
