By Mia MacGregor

Feb 24 - (The Insurer) - Texas-based Incline P&C Group has appointed Thomas Wafer as an independent director for each of its insurance carriers.

Wafer brings more than 40 years of experience in reinsurance and insurance to Incline. He most recently served as chairman of Willis Re/Gallagher Re North America.

His career includes senior leadership roles such as president of Third Point Re $(USA)$ and president and chairman of global reinsurance at Alterra.

Wafer also led operations at Harbor Point Re in both the U.S. and Bermuda and held positions at Chubb Re, Guy Carpenter and Marsh McLennan.

"His expertise spans critical areas of the reinsurance landscape – from strategic growth and risk management to navigating complex market cycles. Bringing in someone with his track record and insights will be instrumental in expanding our offerings and building more resilient partnerships,” said Chris McClellan, Incline president and CEO.

In January, Incline appointed Sheel Patel as its chief risk and strategy officer, with Lauren Wiedenfeld replacing her as CFO.
