Karoon Energy Posts Lower Earnings in 2024 Despite Rise in Revenue; 2025 Production Guidance Maintained; Shares Up 5%

Karoon Energy (ASX:KAR) reported Thursday earnings per diluted share in 2024 of $0.1597, compared with $0.2003 per diluted share during the comparative transitional year.

Analysts polled by Visible Alpha were expecting an EPS of $0.19.

The transitional year covers the six months from July 1, 2023, until Dec. 31, 2023, to reflect changes to the company's financial year-end.

Sales revenue for the year was $776.5 million, up from $412 million in the comparative transitional year. Analysts surveyed by Visible Alpha expected $778.6 million.

The oil and gas firm maintained its production guidance for the year of 9 million to 10.5 million barrels of oil equivalent.

The board declared an interim dividend of AU$0.05 per share payable on March 31 to shareholders on record as of March 5.

Karoon Energy's shares were up 5% in recent trade.
