Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSM) late Monday disclosed plans to increase investment in advanced chipmaking in the US by another $100 billion.
The additional spending builds on the company's prior $65 billion commitment to expand its manufacturing operations in Phoenix, Arizona.
The new project will construct three new fabrication plants, two new advanced packaging facilities and a major research and development center.
