Market Chatter: NVIDIA, Broadcom Test Manufacturing with Intel

Nvidia (NVDA) and Broadcom (AVGO) are conducting manufacturing tests with Intel (INTC), Reuters reported Monday, citing two sources familiar with the matter.

The report said the two tests, using Intel's 18A manufacturing process, suggest that the companies are evaluating whether to commit to large-scale manufacturing contracts with Intel.

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is also assessing whether Intel's 18A process suits its needs, though it is unclear if it has sent test chips, unnamed sources told Reuters.

The tests are focused on evaluating Intel's foundry for advanced AI processors and other chips, but their results don't guarantee new business for Intel, Reuters said.

Nvidia, Broadcom, Intel, and Advanced Micro Devices did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
