BlackRock (BLK) said Monday that it has finalized the acquisition of private markets data provider Preqin.
As part of the deal, Preqin founder Mark O'Hare has joined BlackRock as Vice Chair.
Preqin's products will remain available as standalone offerings, with BlackRock planning to integrate Preqin's data and research tools into Aladdin and eFront over time.
