新浪科技讯 3月3日下午消息，今日上午，理想汽车宣布，理想旗下首款纯电SUV理想 i8将于今年7月发布上市。下午，理想汽车发文，针对销售时间、销售预期等网友关注的热门问题进行回答。

　　针对“为什么这台车叫理想i8”该问题，理想汽车发文内容表示，i是intelligence（智能）的首字母，也与中文的“爱”同音。我们致力追求爱的智能化，不仅让车更聪明，也让车更懂爱。

　　理想汽车方面称，i系列是理想汽车全新打造的纯电SUV系列，i系列、L系列和MEGA是各自独立的产品系列，共同形成理想的产品家族，为不同家庭用户提供更丰富的产品选择。i8是理想i系列的首款产品，定位中大型六座SUV。

　　谈及对理想i8的销量预期，理想汽车表示，相比短期的销量，我们更在意纯电SUV给用户带来的产品价值和体验，以及充电网络能够带来的补能便利性，这是踏踏实实做好高端纯电动车的前提与基础。接下来，我们会把全部的精力用在关注用户需求上，而不是销量和竞争上。至于长期目标，我们争取在三年内成为高端纯电第一梯队。
