据报道，壳牌(SHEL.US)正考虑出售其在美国和欧洲的化工资产，作为其重新聚焦于最盈利业务战略的一部分。

知情人士表示，壳牌正与摩根士丹利合作，对其化工业务进行评估，目前谈判尚处于初期阶段。

报道称，位于得克萨斯州的Deer Park工厂也在评估范围内，该工厂毗邻壳牌此前已出售股份的一家炼油厂。

报道还指出，潜在买家可能包括私募股权公司和中东买家。
