路透社新德里3月3日 - 为贷款机构提供商户支付服务的印度初创公司Mintoak周二表示，它已经收购了Digiledge，这标志着在新生的央行数字货币领域的首次收购，据知情人士称，这笔交易价值约350万美元。
印度储备银行于2022年12月开始试行CBDC，即电子卢比，这是一种数字货币，可以替代实物货币，去年4月，印度储备银行将交易范围从最初的仅限于银行扩大到支付公司。
两位知情人士透露，PayPal PYPL.O和HDFC Bank HDBK.NS支持的Mintoak已经完成了对Digiledge的收购，Digiledge专门从事CBDC和账单支付服务。
总部位于孟买的Mintoak公司表示，这项交易将使Mintoak的合作银行（包括HDFC银行、Axis银行AXBK.NS和SBI银行SBI.NS）能够向其客户提供更全面的CBDC相关支付解决方案。
"Mintoak首席执行官Raman Khanduja表示："通过增加Digiledge的账单支付和CBDC功能，我们将使商户收单机构更容易发展，并帮助更多中小企业获得数字工具和金融服务。
今年1月，Cred和MobiKwikONEM.NS成为首批允许客户使用CBDC的金融科技平台。
