美国微软公司当地时间2月28日宣布，为简化免费通信产品、适应客户需求，具有20多年历史的音频与视频通话软件Skype将于今年5月5日正式关闭，该公司同时鼓励用户转向微软免费通信软件Teams。

2011年，微软以85亿美元的价格收购Skype，当时月用户量约为1.5亿，到2020年这一数字已降至2300万。分析称，用户量下滑的主要原因是Skype基础技术已经不适合智能手机时代，加上近些年来市场上替代产品不断出现。
