Nio (NYSE: NIO) has completed the latest round of winter testing for its executive flagship sedan, the ET9, with first deliveries of the model set to begin later this month.
The ET9 has officially completed its third round of winter testing and acceptance, entering the final stages of preparation before delivery, the Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker announced today.
The model will be open for test drives and deliveries will begin in late March, Nio said, repeating a previously mentioned timeline.
Nio unveiled the ET9 and started accepting pre-orders at Nio Day 2023 in December 2023 in an attempt to enter the luxury executive sedan market dominated by foreign brands including Mercedes Maybach.
At Nio Day 2024 on December 21, 2024, the ET9 was officially launched with a starting price of RMB 788,000 ($108,230) including the battery pack, making it Nio's highest-priced model.
Nio today shared a video of the latest round of winter testing of the ET9 on its mobile app, and shared a timeline of the model's journey from birth.

In March 2025, ET9 was officially mass-produced and delivery versions began to be sent to stores nationwide.
