BYD (HKG:1211, SHE:002594) partnered with drone manufacturer DJI to introduce Lingyuan, a vehicle-mounted drone launching system, BYD said Monday in a post on Weibo.
The Lingyuan system consists of a docking station, enabling the drone to take off, land, charge, and track EV travels.
The system, which would be available across all BYD models, costs 16,000 yuan.
In addition, the Chinese electric vehicle giant launched a drone version of the Bao 8 SUV, pre-equipped with the Lingyuan system, with a price range of 395,800 to 423,800 yuan.
