据媒体报道，知情人士披露，沃尔格林与私募股权投资公司 Sycamore Partners 即将达成一项交易，这一交易将促使这家处境艰难的连锁药店实现私有化。此前有报道称，Sycamore 将以每股 11.30 美元至 11.40 美元的现金价格收购沃尔格林，交易金额约达 100 亿美元。
知情人士还表示，此次收购极有可能引发沃尔格林的分拆。该公司旗下业务涵盖英国药店连锁店 Boots 以及美国医疗保健提供商 VillageMD，而分拆这些业务正是目前讨论的选项之一。
