23andMe (ME) said late Monday that a special committee of its board has rejected a new proposal by co-founder and Chief Executive Anne Wojcicki to acquire the shares in the company not owned by her and her affiliates.
Wojcicki submitted a new nonbinding acquistion proposal of $0.41 per 23andMe share in cash.
The company said the latest offer represented an 84% decrease to a joint proposal submitted by Wojcicki and her then co-bidder last month.
The company's shares fell 33% Monday.
