Humana Prices $1.25 Billion Offering of Senior Notes

Humana (HUM) said late Monday it priced a public offering of $1.25 billion worth of debt.

The offering includes $750 million of the company's 5.550% senior notes due 2035 priced at 99.885% of the principal and $500 million of its 6% senior notes due 2055 priced at 98.951% of the principal, the company said.

The offering is expected to close on Wednesday.

The company expects net proceeds of about $1.23 billion, which it plans to use to repay its 4.500% senior notes due 2025 at maturity in April and for general corporate purposes.
