智通财经APP获悉，亚马逊(AMZN.US)周一表示，将利用人工智能来降低西班牙东北部阿拉贡地区的洪水风险，该地区同时也是亚马逊正在建设的数据中心所在地。资料显示，亚马逊云计算部门AWS在去年5月宣布，将在阿拉贡地区的数据中心上投资157亿欧元(约合170亿美元)，以大幅扩展其云基础设施。
AWS周一表示，计划斥资1720万欧元(约合1790万美元)，通过基础设施现代化和利用人工智能优化农业用水来降低阿拉贡地区的洪水风险。亚马逊将利用先进的云计算技术部署一个预警系统，该系统将实时数据收集与先进的传感器网络和人工智能分析相结合，帮助阿拉贡地区首府萨拉戈萨(Zaragoza)监测洪水风险。该平台将监测天气状况和水流，提供紧急服务和洪水预警。
