Three housing projects in Hong Kong sold 352 units during the weekend following the reduction of stamp duties for small apartments during the city's budget speech on Feb. 26, the South China Morning Post reported Saturday.
Henderson Land (HKG:0012) sold all its 181 apartments at its Eight Southpark project in Kowloon City Saturday evening, while Wang On Properties (HKG:1243) sold 55 out of 60 units at its Coasto project in Ap Lei Chau, the report said.
Kerry Properties (HKG:0683) also sold 116 out of 121 units at its Hava project in Yuen Long, according to the report.
Hong Kong Financial Secretary Paul Chan Mo-po announced the stamp duty is now is now HK$100 from HK$60,000 for homes worth up to HK$4 million instead of HK$3 million previously, according to the SCMP.
