Brightstar Resources (ASX:BTR) confirmed the continuity of high-grade gold within the optimized pit shell and extensions to mineralization at depth at the Lord Nelson deposit in the Sandstone project in Western Australia, after receiving the final results for a reverse circulation drilling program, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
The results from the 3,700-meter drill program included intercepts of 40 meters at 1.89 grams per tonne grade of gold from a depth of 178 meters and 22 meters at 2.38 g/t gold from a 228-meter depth.
The firm is currently drilling at the Vanguard camp at the project.
The firm's shares fell 3% in recent trading on Tuesday.
