SGS agreed to buy IMO in a deal that expands its Australian presence.
The Swiss testing, inspection and certification company said Monday is will buy Independent Metallurgical Operations and Metallurgy for an undisclosed price.
The two companies are collectively known as IMO and are based in Perth, Australia, the company said.
They employ 48 workers and provide metallurgical consulting, testing, site operations, and technical services, SGS said.
