前CEO巴雷特反对拆分英特尔：应解雇董事会并重新聘请帕特・基辛格
IT之家 3 月 3 日消息，英特尔前高管克雷格・巴雷特（Craig Barrett）当地时间 2 月 28 日在《财富》杂志刊文，强烈反对将英特尔拆分为产品和代工两部分的看法。
IT之家注：克雷格・巴雷特于 1997 年成为英特尔总裁，1998~2005 年出任公司首席执行官，在此后转任董事长直到 2009 年退休。
巴雷特认为英特尔此前在代工业务上的困难并非由于客户对技术隔离保密的不信任，而是英特尔自身的制造技术的劣势导致的。而在前任 CEO 帕特・基辛格的带领下英特尔恢复了先进制程的竞争力，不过英特尔仍需在代工生态支持、芯片设计方面持续改善。
在巴雷特的眼中，拆分将使得英特尔失去成功所需的动力和资源，削弱其竞争力。英特尔更需要一个了解芯片制造的半导体行业出身领导人而不是拆分主管，而该企业董事会需要为前十年的受挫承担最终责任。
巴雷特的建议是解雇英特尔董事会，重新聘请帕特・基辛格来“完成他在过去几年中妥善处理的工作”。
